Exhibit Hall Coordinator Job Description
Our annual convention is a fruitful endeavour with much work behind the scenes. Our Exhibit Hall Coordinator is a valued member of our Convention Team. Our ideal candidate is a team player with great communication skills and who can organize and is detail oriented. Training will be provided as well as support from our Coordinator and Creative Director. This is mainly a seasonal position beginning in November through May.
-Main contact for (potential) exhibitors to provide information about the OCHEC Convention and send out invitations to these exhibitors.
-Keep track of incoming online registrations to the convention
-Communicate with venue and rental company about details of orders for food/ tables/ exhibit hall setup plan
-Make a final floor plan for the exhibit hall
-Be present the Thursday before the convention at the venue, as well as both full days of the convention
-Communicate with the webmaster on a regular basis about the Convention Guidebook details and other online matters.
Administrative Assistant Job Description
All our leaders need reliable, trustworthy support. Our Executive Director is certainly no exception. This is a unique position, matching the visionary (Executive Director) with administrative skills (Administrative Assistant) for the purpose of helping to carry out OCHEC’s vision and mission.
Contact Heather
This position, in many ways, is the voice of OCHEC by maintaining phone, email and mail connections. Other duties include membership registrations, Board meeting secretary as well as ongoing communications within the OCHEC organization. This requires part-time hourly commitment. Compensation to be determined. Communication skills will be tested daily by a variety of incoming requests. Proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, and ACT! is vital. Homeschooling background essential to understanding the needs of our members and portraying OCHEC accurately to the general public.
